The AMS Minority Scholarship applications are due February 8, 2020, worth $6,000. Description:  The AMS Minority Scholarships support minority students who have been traditionally underrepresented in the sciences. These groups include the following:

  1. Black/African American
  2. Hispanic
  3. Native American

Funding for the scholarships is through member donations of the AMS Giving Program. This is a two-year scholarship opportunity distributed once per year during freshman and sophomore years (Good Academic Standing).

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status and be minorities entering their freshman year of college in the fall.

Students who are interested in Atmospheric or related oceanic and hydrologic sciences are encouraged to apply. Marine Biology is not eligible.

    I was curious if you ever thought of changing the page layout of your blog?
    Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
    But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so
    people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two pictures.
    Maybe you could space it out better?
