Hello and thank you for stopping by today for Walt Disney’s Imagineering Competition and Team Scholarship Give-Away. It sounds like a dream come true for any students passionate about electronics, engineering, and/or technology. I’ve outlined some of the rules below, and if you’re interested or know others who might be, use the share button – share the LOVE with your friends. This competition has an Application DEADLINE on October 11, 2020. Here you will submit information about your team and what you wish to accomplish. Your Project Submission is DUE on November 7, 2020.

Disney Imaginations invites students to create an iconic installation on their campus or city that serves as an inspiration, honors the past, and is a vision of the future.

  • Application is Due on October 11, 2020
  • Applicants can form teams to two to four participants
  • Applicants team participant must be a student at least 18
  • Applicants must also be a college junior, senior, or equivalent
  • Applicants may be a full-time graduate student
  • Applicants must be attending a college or university in the United States
  • Applicants must be majoring in ONE of these supported disciplines or a recent college graduate with a major in one of the supported disciplines.

Foster Care to Success is a college fund for foster youth that provides annual scholarships to support students seeking additional education. A variety of undergraduate scholarships are offered to students who have been accepted into or expect to be accepted into an accredited, Pell-eligible college or other postsecondary schools. 5. Legacy of Life Scholarship ($5,000) Due March 31, 2020:

As a high school senior, you have the power to raise awareness about the importance of registering to be an organ, eye, and tissue donor through the Leslie A. Ebert Legacy of Life Scholarship Program. Simply write a persuasive essay and/or produce a video that educates, then motivates, an audience to become a registered organ, eye, and tissue donors! All essay and video entrants must be a current high school senior who both resides and attends high school, or is homeschooled, in one of the following locations: Northern Virginia (specifically the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Clarke, Spotsylvania, Stafford, King George, and Fauquier as well as the independent cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax, Fredericksburg, Manassas, and Manassas Park); Maryland (Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Charles counties only); and the District of Columbia; and plan to attend a college, university or community college in the upcoming fall semester. You are not eligible for the scholarship if you reside and attend high school (or are homeschooled) outside the aforementioned counties and cities. Scholarship Description:Eligible students of the Legacy of Life Essay & Video Scholarships must reside and attend high school (or home schooled) in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (see website for details). Applicants must write an essay or produce a video that will convince an audience to register to be organ, eye, and tissue donors. Winners will be announced by May 20. 6. RARE Scholars Scholarship ($20,000) – Due March 31

  • Scholarship Description
  • RARE Scholars, an annual scholarship for students living with rare disease, aims to empower patients with continued education by recognizing students who have demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities. The RARE Scholars program will distribute up to $20,000 each year, awarding $5,000 for undergraduate four-year or graduate studies or $2,500 for two-year or vocational-technical studies. Applicants must be high school seniors, graduates or current post-secondary or graduate-level students diagnosed with Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) Phenylketonuria (PKU) or Batten disease. Applicants must be high school seniors, graduates, current post-secondary undergraduates, or graduate-level students with a minimum of 3.0 (out of 4.0) GPA. Must plan to enroll in full-time or part-time (minimum 6 credits per term) undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S. or U.S. Territories for the entire academic year. Must be U.S. and ex-U.S. residents enrolled in U.S.-based schools, including U.S. territories. Recipients are notified in May. Scholarship Description:

The Stars Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated students who intend to pursue full-time undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degrees. Applicants can attend any accredited college or university of their choosing. Eligibility: Be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551, be a permanent resident (5 or more consecutive years) of and have a permanent South or West Texas address in one of our 31 counties. 8. E.C. Hallbeck Memorial Scholarship ($8,000) Due March 31, 2020

Scholarship Description:

The APWU E.C. Hallbeck Memorial Scholarship awards 10 recipients $2,000 annually for four years to use toward an undergraduate program. The Hallbeck Scholarship provides financial assistance to one male and one female recipient from each of five regions: Central, Eastern, Northeast, Southern, and Western. Hallbeck Scholarship recipients must attend an accredited college or university and must maintain a “B” average (or “Pass” if on a “Pass/Fail” system). Applicants must be a child or grandchild, including stepchild or legally adopted child of an active member, Retirees Department member, or deceased member of the American Postal Workers Union, their parent or grandparent must be a full dues-paying member or retiree member [as defined in the APWU National Constitution and Bylaws, reference Article 3, Section 1, Section 4(d)] in good standing or must have been a member immediately preceding death. 10. Army Nurse Corps Association (ANCA) Education Fund Scholarship ($3,000) Due March 31, 2020

Scholarship Description

Applicants of the ANCA Education Fund must be currently enrolled in an accredited baccalaureate or advanced degree program in nursing, nurse anesthesia, or related healthcare field who are serving or have previously served in any branch, and at any rank, of a component of the US Army (Active Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve) and are not currently receiving funding by a component of the US Army, (e.g., scholarship ROTC students and students receiving full GI Bill benefits are not eligible).
