HOT-Seat 87 Feyi Obamehinti (Keller, TX), Education Expert, Speaker, Teacher. and Co-Founder, Oasis Focus, Inc on Public School Teachers and Love (how they are the same)

PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS And Love – How They Are The Same

Public school teachers worldwideith what they do and start our loving each child the same. Loving job is different than enjoying the company and time spent daily with folks you work with or are serving. It would be great if a e-requisite were required to love to teach: YOU MUST LOVE CHILDREN BEFORE YOU CAN TEACH!

By now,,, you know that’s not close to how it works. Spoiler Alert: Teachers are no all created equally,,, like folks in any other profession – The wheat and the tare grow together. Only God can do the separating. In o her words, quit trying to know ople – They change every day. Put your treasure in GOD who never ch ges, and his promise of daylight and moonshine coupled with new mercies have not failed us yet!

PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS And Love – How They Are The Same

What’s Love Got to do With It?

Love is a relative term depending on anything that could mean something different to everyone (love). Every public school teacher was a student, and eryone everywhere, at any grade level, athletes whether varsity or JV, award-winning Emmy, grammy, and Oscar nominees were once students in a teacher’s classroom.

Teachers don’t just make the world go around. They are the world,,, and they ALL get into heaven FREE (says me)! Teachers, up until recently,,, were not ignored t rather reduced in the class hierarchy of local, state, and federal laws about education and teaching, especially if one is certified as a teacher or has continued education after goal attainment.

PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS And Love – How They Are The Same

HOT-Seat Chosen Visionary Number 87 is Dr. Feyi Obamehinti (Keller, TX)

A dynamic international and national trainer/speaker, Feyi is passionate about helping educators at all stages of their career journey. As an educational expert, Feyi uses her expertise to equip, support, and provide leadership to educators at the local, state, and federal levels in areas of best practices in education. She is the Co-founder of Oasis Focus Inc. (a nonprofit organization) that empowers and equips disadvantaged communities through value- based principles for families, public schools, and the workplace.

PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS And Love – How They Are The Same

Teachers Must Love All Students

According to Dr. Obamehinti, one should not teach if tey are not called to fo so! Teachers are special folks designed after God’s heart to guarantee the safe passage fro childhood to adult. Those who end up in education by accident do not end up being the best at this job.

Teachers Shuold Love God, His Children and Serve People

Richard L Benbow, III (Los Angeles, CA) is HOT-Seat 85 on Modern Technology and How to Fast Track the Process from Education to Workforce! Thursdays at 9:15 pm (EST)

It’s ALL (ABOUT) Modern Technology

Modern technology is everywhere. It’s a wonder how we ever lived without it because that’s what it’s all about. If you remember back to the Jetson’s cartoon series, they had technology down to a science, too far back to be modern, or was it? I would run home from school to watch it – These days, even adults need to close their eyes. Television is not what it used to be, nor modern technology.

In today’s marketplace, technology skills are all about whether you get the job or not. So, how do we get our young people ready for the future if we are afraid, nervous, or scared when folks begin talking about math, science, and technology. This week at the Urban Academics Roundtable, the HOT-Seat Chosen VIsionary is from Los Angeles, CA. He is heavy-handed with technology and needs to share a boatload of what’s coming down the pike with you. Please join us at the weekly roundtable Thursdays at 9:15 pm (EST).

It’s All About Modern Technology. WGU is accepting students for competency-based technology programs.

Regional Vice President (West) at WGU Technology-Based University is Chosen VIsionary in HOT-Seat EIGHTY-FIVE (85)

Richard Benbow, III is the Regional Vice President (West) of Western Governors University, the nation’s first and largest competency-based tech university. In this role, Mr. Benbow combines his passion for innovation and information technology with a desire to serve others, providing access to affordable, high-quality education for underserved adult learners throughout the region. He leads a team that executes strategy and operations to optimize student success utilizing the WGU platform and developing partnership relationships that drive value for employers and students.

About Competency-Based Learning in Technology

It’s ALL About Modern Technology – New Jobs for a New World; Get prepared now.

Competency-based education (learning) is a framework for teaching and assessing education based on what you already know, evidenced by your passing a series of tests in most cases. Some assessments will be necessary to validate your knowledge level as you move through your chosen academic program.

Intended outcomes for this education (learning) model and real-world performance. When working with youth who seem bored with school, that can be translated into disengagement with their learning. These days, that’s a back-handed behavior slap. Schools have long become baby prisons, more concerned with bodies and behaviors than brains and ideas.

Students who are harder to engage are generally more hands-on students, many of whom fall in love with technology. All is won when the light bulb goes off the power one has to design a future built on success with simple technology certifications, and some of those are FREE! Looking in the eyes of a child who has found his path is why we started PIMOSH.net, an arts education firm that is working to redeem 3rd grade and STEP-Catch up 3-years of current learning loss.

If kids already know how to develop apps and websites have already submitted something to the apple store or google play, they are prime candidates for this technology opportunity. Consider Tech Titans at University of North Carolina | Charlotte? No sweat! Tech Titans @ UNCC accepts middle and high school students but gladly accepts younger students with technology promise! Tech-Titans will operate for spring break 2022 (April 11-15), and we invite you to join us in person on the beautiful campus or online via the virtual experience.

Tech Degrees at WGU

Currently, you can check out three different programs for immediate enrollment. You can request more information here. Program offerings are as follows:

  1. College of Business
  2. College of Health Professions
  3. College of Information Technology
  4. Teacher’s College

They offer bachelor’s and master’s degrees for each of the above, and there’s a certification too! CLICK HERE for the breakdown of class and coursework. You need to know that you can get your bag (money) young with any of these certifications! You no longer have to earn real cash for certified and verified skills at a certain age.

All You Need Technology Degree – No Fee Application

I was hoping you could apply now for admission to WGU, the most progressive universities in the United States with several locations and options for meeting course requirements. CLICK HERE and use the code “NOWFREE” on the payments page; Easy! Make sure every student who comes through PIMOSH programs knows all about technology opportunities like this. Because it’s continual learning and STEM, kids get hooked on a natural progression to the next level and steps for their life. Now, that’s one positive outcome waiting to happen.

Barriers to the Masses

Many children we work with are not necessarily encouraged or motivated towards educational success. They like nice things and know about things I didn’t know about until much later, but wanting information that’s powerful enough to change the trajectory of life is not something most of my students are accustomed to. It is, therefore, our job as educators and concerned citizens to do all we can to make sure ALL technology benefits everyone, especially our children who inherit what we bless or a curse. Technology can go either way and so can our children and what goes on between their ears,

People Involved in Motivating Our Students Higher (PIMOSH) is Redeeming Third Grade and playing catch-up for three years of learning loss. If you see a “C,” call me (Ms. Patrina) at 1.844.4.PIMOSH (746674), or email patrina@pimosh.net.

Anyone who has ever attained a degree regardless of age did not do it alone – A village is always needed and welcome. With all its modern power, technology cannot take the place of the human element, not its experience with flesh and blood. We can’t fight youth to motivate. It must be inspired and somehow caught as their real idea and worth sacrificing and walking towards. Our kids need immediate outcomes in their favor! We’ve got that at Tech-Titans, and I believe we’ve found the next steps for some of our struggling students who may benefit from a non-traditional college or university setting.

We must help one student at a time by pointing out educational facts, introducing new opportunities for expression, and providing necessary resources to make success a reality. We can no longer tolerate “C” grades when we know inner-city public school quality points are on the floor – It’s like a “D’ or high “F!” We cannot count how many of our top students cannot make it through their first year at college. Sometimes it is money, schools trick us a little (at the beginning), but sometimes it has nothing to do with money; They could NOT compete academically. When in doubt, get a PIMOSH Tutor!

Thank you for reading. If you have any questions about WGU, you can contact Mr. Benhow and his team by clicking here.

Dr. Joan Cartwright (Boynton Beach, Florida) is our Chosen Visionary in HOT-Seat 84 and Anchor to Season Seven (7). She is an author, college professor, and retired blues and jazz musician passionate about women in the music industry. At the Urban Academics Roundtable Thursday at 9:15 pm

Who Else Wants To Enjoy WOMEN IN JAZZ Now

Men have dominated the music industry since the beginning. Few women have penetrated the 12.22-Billion Dollar industry (annual). Women in Jazz is an off-beat topic, but this week’s Chosen Visionary in HOT-Seat 84 is a timely topic that should be front and center.

There are new and innovative ways for folks to consume their favorite genre of music. It comes direct from women in the music industry, and one is at the Urban Academics Roundtable. Questions on the table, like where’s the money?

So much so that she founded the organization known as Women in Jazz Global, Inc. Her mission is to promote women in music worldwide and get their fair share of the money associated with their music and songs.

HOT-Seat 84 is Dr. Joan Cartwright (Boynton Beach, Florida)

Joan Cartwright is an author, college professor, composer, podcast host, producer, and retired Blues and Jazz performer. She is also the Founder of Women in Jazz South Florida Inc, Women in Arts, Business catalogs, Musicman Magazines, and Musicwoman magazines.

Dr. Cartwright, A.K.A Diva JC has performed with her swinging brand of Jazz and blues all over the United States, France, Germany, Austria, Holland, England, Jamaica, Brazil, Mexico, Ghana, Gambia, South Africa, China, Japan, Switzerland, Italy, and Spain. Over that period, she worked with hundreds of male musicians and only six women. Diva JC wanted to bridge the gap in the male-dominated music industry.

So, in 2007,  She founded Women in Jazz South Florida, Inc. to promote women musicians in Jazz, locally, nationally, and globally. Audio, archives, articles, clinics, contacts, courses, events, film, history, interviews, lectures, newsletters, research, websites, workshops, video recording, concerts, performances, and recognition. Today there are members worldwide, and it is now called Women in Jazz Global Inc.

Books by Retired Blues and Jazz Performer, Dr. Joan Cartwright

Urban Academics has produced a webpage where our Authors and Writers can host their books published on the market for sale. To check out some of Dr. Cartwright’s books, CLICK HERE. Be sure to leave a comment or message; We will make sure that Dr. Cartwright gets it.

What’s More?

She is doing more of the same when Dr. Cartwright is not out in the world running around the “S” on her chest with the cape flowing behind it. She likes to relax in a nice place and be. To get in touch with Dr. Cartwright or another Urban Academics HOT-Seat Chosen Visionary, leave a message in the comments section below.

The Urban Academics Roundtable celebrated 2021 Chosen Visionaries at the 2022 Awards and Recognition Ceremony. Join us Thursday at the table: 206.451.6112 + 605.472.5272 # + pin: 836692 #. Happy New Year!

Can You Pass The 2022 AWARDS AND RECOGNITION CEREMONY Test Now?

As we continue celebrating the new year, we are wondering can you pass the 2022 Awards and Recognition Ceremony Test? Every year, Urban Academics celebrates the highs and lows of the previous year and the accomplishments and contributions made to the platform or weekly roundtable.

We believe it necessary to de-brief and make decisions based on factual information and feedback from the membership. Urban Academics presents its annual stats and a list of Chosen Visionaries from 2022 below:

Awards and Recognition matter to creatives of all shapes and sizes! Subscribe to Our YouTube Channel

The Urban Academics Roundtable as of January, 2022:

Urban Academics sent out its first invitation for its first guided imagery dinner party on April 16, 2020. It was in direct response to and on the heels of the U.S. Department of Education’s decision to close public schools and waive educational requirements due to COVID-19 and the worldwide pandemic.

2022 Awards and Recognition

Now that Urban Academics is a toddler (16-months-old), we understand that we are off and walking, still holding onto the walls and sometimes needing balance. We are excited to report having had several pilot programs over the last year that have proven fruitful for those individuals and the table at large. The goal is to teach one, but that’s only possible when we can care about one another, give information – the good parts too, and share resources.

When we are filled with God’s blessings, it’s hard to keep the good stuff to yourself because you know if you do not share, it will eventually choke you. There is no competition because most folks will not do anything towards their goals or visions, only talk about them and sow discord regarding those busy doing/working their plan. I call it jealousy, but there might be another word for it.

Chosen Visionaries are rarely messy and not too nosey – We are too busy trying to figure out what’s next. We understand that the dispensation we find ourselves under has the book of revelation all over it. We live in a time where it is difficult to think of anyone other than ourselves. However, that position might make I difficult due to so many needs bigger than me or you. Once we reach the point where we believe none of this belongs to us and it (stuff) doesn’t matter anyway, we begin to walk through the door of grace.

The church talks about tithing (10%), and so does the bible! Who caught the fact that I separated the church and the bible? Of course, they do go together (church and the bible), but the two terms are not necessarily interchangeable. My charge is to give 10% wherever you see the need (CLOSE TO YOU). If you know a child in the winter with a jacket on, you know they need a coat – Please BUY the CHILD a COAT; That’s TRULY a gift to G.O.D. Because he (God) needs that child to be warm and feel love. Otherwise, you would NOT be the one who sees the need. Your church will be fine.

I know people who have plenty, yet tight as girdles. They would NEVER consider giving anyone anything outside of their immediate church or circle; They will not part with their money, wisdom, or anything else but appear to be blessed. Chosen Visionaries are blessed to be a blessing to the masses, and they know it. As the creator of Urban Academics, I cannot call you Chosen! You must agree to the knowledge of that fact, or not all on your own.

Chosen Visionaries in the HOT-Seat

HOT-Seat Chosen Visionaries come from varying backgrounds and all walks of life. We celebrate each one in their collective and individual contribution to this content-creation and story-telling platform. These conversations are R.A.W., REAL, and RELEVANT, and there’s not another platform quite like this one. Consider joining us at the Urban Academics Roundtable every Thursday. There is a virtual (guided imagery) dinner party where the venue for Kings and Queens serves food suitable for the body, mind, and soul. It’s FREE, but you must register >>>

No More Mistakes With TREATING POLYMYOSITIS?

There are lots of people who make mistakes with TREATING POLYMYOSITIS, are you one? That’s a common dilemma and probably boils down to the fact that it’s not as common a condition as other attacks of muscles; It’s attacking both sides of your body – UGH.

Three Things You Should Do

Mistakes Most People Make With Treatment

  • Exercise (Move Around):

It may sound counter-intuitive, but if your muscles are what’s wrong, you’ve got to find a way to use them (your muscles). For God’s sake, don’t just sit there and wait for them *your muscles) to lock. No! Get as much use out of them (your muscles) as much use as possible. Then do that same thing for everything else in your life that is a pain in the butt! Every little bit counts, but move it.

  • Nutrition (Eating Right):

Eating everything people say is healthy may not be healthy for your particular ailment. It would be best if you found out what your situation is taking away from a healthy report. For example, if your body is low in potassium, eating foods with more iron may not necessarily help your body in its current state of unrest (illness) to realign itself with a proper diet.

When it comes to swallowing – Diet also comes into play, one of the major concerns for folks living with this disease. You don’t want to put a strain on vocal cords, so you should be careful only to consume foods you know you can chew – No one else is going to do that for you unless you are a baby, and I doubt that. You’ve got to learn how to take care of yourself, right?

  • Spiritual Healing:

Your energy (frequency) by and with yourself is the most crucial part of healing. It would help if you believed it’s already inside of you, that your body is a healing machine quick to rescue, fixing anything inward that’s broken or hurting. You have every right to shake your head and start over, sometimes again and again. Get around people’s places and things that inspire the best of you instead of reminding you about past mistakes and problems. Those things have already happened, in the past where you can leave them.

“it was almost like meditation is taboo for black people. Meditation for me has been good – I want to show other people how. I looked up information on being certified for $3,000.00, but there was a scholarships for folks in less likely communities. O applied and 2-weeks late received a scholarship. Two Hundred Hour Course regarding our inner and outer self. I felt empowered and I’ve got to share with others.”

Juliette Nelson, College Park MD, Author, Business Owner, Mental Health Professional, and Public Speaker - A Thought Leader

The Complete Process of A THOUGHT LEADER

The term Thought Leader has been a constant buzzword since the early 1990s and has stood the test of time – At least how the term itself goes. Folks from every walk of life have a thought or two, but that hardly equates to leadership. The purpose of this segment is to help all who might sit at the table to live life as their most authentic selves.

This week’s Chosen Visionary in HOT-Seat Number 66 will help Urban Academics Roundtable members to think of ways to support vulnerable children and families who look to adoption and foster care as a resource. “Adoption and foster care is a traumatic experience. It’s a loss of a birth parent. Talking about Trauma is important because it has had an impact. What happens after the Trauma, and we have no idea what the parent was going through. Before classifying children and youth as “bad,” let’s learn to explore their individual stories.”

Super Easy Ways To Learn Everything About ADOPTION

Adoption can be a very tricky subject, especially for black, brown, and low to moderate-income families. It could be that the mindset of the individuals mentioned here wonder how extra mouths in a house when there are limited means is feasible. Another idea is the embarrassment associated with what family is supposed to be and when abandonment enters the room.

This week’s Chosen Visionary in HOT-Seat 65 will help Urban Academics Roundtable members to think of ways to support vulnerable children and families who look to adoption and foster care as a resource.

“Adoption and foster care is a traumatic experience. It’s a loss of a birth parent. Talking about Trauma is important because it has had an impact. Death, LIFE INSURANCE, And Taxes

Death, LIFE INSURANCE, And Taxes are each something all of us over the age of 21 give thought to, it’s not as important to the next generation. This is probably the first time for black brown and low-income earning families.

This week’s Chosen Visionary in HOT-Seat 64 will help Urban Academics Roundtable members to think of three extremely important things around facts. Each of us will pass away (die) at some point, and when that time comes it’s too late to get our business and final expenses in order. Insurance certainly helps, but understanding the different options associated with what some consider a morbid conversation is not always easy.
